Default Has DREMEL come up with a.....

a new lithium-ion powered tool yet?

The lithium-ion batteriess do not develop a memory after repeated charges, they keep going, and going, and going and have a lot more power.

I don't know if it is new, but here is one Dremel 8200 Lithium-ion Cordless / Model: 8200

I have never used one or seen one, so I can't give any kind of opinion about power and battery life.

The one Mike linked to is their new lithium-ion, I have the model before that one, I think it's 10 volt. I use it all the time and think it's an awesome tool. The battery life is long as well as the shelf life, only down fall is it take several hours to recharge. I use it for clean up with the 3M discs as well as sanding with the drums. Another thing I use mine for is sharpening with a felt wheel, I use a slow to med. speed, works great for small palm tools.
