Thanks Dick..... nothing like telling everyone how dumb I was, to help them remember to be safe...LOL. But we all share our stories....the good, the bad, the ugly..... as long as we can laugh about it afterward, it wasn't too bad.

Hi SusieQ....Was up in your neigborhood the other day. We went to the dinner theater down the street from you and saw a musical based on the songs of Neil Sedaka... Not to bad! I thought of you!... Did you feel anything coming through the thought waves? Ha! Ha!

I would have stopped but we was on one of my wife's "Blue Hair" travel club bus trips....Ha! Ha! Don't you dare tell her I called it that! Actually, I sort of enjoy them. We've been to a number of great dinner theaters and shows all around west central Florida and I don't even have to fight the dang blasted traffic. All I do is get aboard, plug my Ipod in my ear, lean back in my seat, close my eyes, and the next thing I know we're pulling up to our destination. No fuss, no muss, no bother! Also, no migraines, no stiff necks, and hips that are a lot less sore.

LOL..... I won't tell on you Eddy.....by the way, aren't ipods just the most wonderful thing ever invented? I have an ipod dock set up out in my shop. I have over 500 pieces of music on it and it's not even half full. I can listen to music all day and never hear the same song twice. It's especially nice to have now that I've sworn off television while I carve...sigh.

Ipods have their advantages and disadvantages. The control that Apple maintains on it's customers through it's itunes programs drives me nuts but you can't fault the operational advantages of the Ipod itself. We have three or four 4-gig older model MP3 players and one Ipod. The MP-3 players are all filled up with individual playlists but the Ipod contains those playlists plus a bunch more. If they ever come out with an MP-3 player that has the same programming and playing functions as an Ipod I may have to look into getting it.

One thing I always do is back up all of my itune purchases on a cd. Back when I had a PC, I kept both itunes and windows media player going and stocked any downloaded music on both programs. It was a pain....first I had to down load it from itunes, then copy it to disk, then load it from the disk into windows media player. I hate restrictions too. In the latest version of itunes, they did away with the ability to make ringtones for your phone, from the music that you had in itunes....that really ticked me off. But, I have garageband on my mac now and I can pick a song in itunes, shorten to just the section I want for the ringtone, then import that section into garageband where I can send it to the ringtone folder in itunes....go figure... I still have the old pc set up in the guest room and have not updated my itunes program on it....so hopefully, I can still take music in the itunes library and make ringtones from it there..... Mike bought me a really nice iphone at a yardsale earlier this year. Put my simcard in it and was up and running. So I carry my music library with me everywhere on the iphone. As nice as all this is....I still hate cellphones. They're a nuisance and I always forget to turn the darn thing on..... |
