Hey there Granny, that'e one fine lookin bird ya did there. If that's your first, then we are in for a treat to see what next you come up with, you've done a beautiful job on that one. I see in your profile that you do some oil painting, that is certainly obvious in the way you painted that bird. Oh, one other thing, I see you wre with the OPP, I was on the force in Sudbury in 1953 54, sorta wish I'd stayed , in hind site.

Good afternoon Oscar.....LOL! never thought of crossing my fingers.as mentioned before it was carved under the watchful eye of the instructor....Have not attempted another one as yet waiting for the Russell disks to arrive as I am still in the dark as to which bit to use where? It definitely is my first power carved bird, and I hope to do more......Thank you for the compliment..Grandma Teddy

Great first effort Grandma Teddy.... how do you like power now that you have tried it? Do you think bird carving will become your niche or is it too early to say yet? Well, my first carving didn't look as good as your bird does...congratulations and keep up the good work
