Default Episode of "Fringe" on TV

I was watching an episode of "Fringe" on tv that aired on the 15th and something funny happened. One of the main character Walters(the wacky Doctor) ask his assistant Astrid Farnsworth for the "small bone saw" and low an behold she grabs what appeared to be a MASTER CARVER. I did not believe what I saw, but I rewinded and slow mo the tv and yep that sure is a MASTER CARVER.

Is the MASTER CARVER used in the medical field? I just never heard of it being used for something like sawing bones. It looked like it had the 44T ball bearing handpiece that comes with the Foredom not the Master Carver hand piece attachment. But i'm pretty sure that the motor was a MC. If anyone has seen the episode can they confirm for me?

Just thought that it was funny. I hope I did not put this in the wrong thread.

I'd say that if one was to install a fiber cutting disk on to the end of the Master Carver hand piece, it would certainly cut bones.
I use those disks to cut thru electrical conduit and thru bass wood when I want to get rig of excess wood on a carving. Those disks can be had at any ACE hardware store and are made by Gyros. They measure 1 3/4" dia., by 1/32" thick.
