Default Electron Burner

Paid a visit to my local Woodcraft store this morning.

I can't figure out why the store clerks and manager always smile when they see me coming through the front door.

But anyways, I left with a Foredom TX and a couple of burrs.

Below are a couple of pictures of my first project using it. A small bowl.

The wood is curly soft maple. It's not done yet.

Thanks for looking.

They're smiling hoping that you won't ask them a question about woodworking tools! The last time I went in and asked a question the clerk had to go get a book to answer the question, then gave me the book and told me to read it!

Nice work! Really crisp and detailed.

I am currently going through Woodcraft rehab right now as we speak

That is one really cool pc of work. I love the burls and your maple leaf is going to be something special. Make sure people know it is not an ashtray

Thanks everyone.

I finished up my little bowl this afternoon. Rubbed some brown kiwi into the wood for some shadowing, then put on 2 coats of wipe-on poly. After a few days I'll rub some Johnson's paste wax on, then buff.

Now I have to finish carving the chipmunk that goes with the weed pot that I showed on another thread.

I'm anxious to do some texturing with the Foredom, the chippy will be my first go at it.
