Cool Electro-File Anyone?

Any one ever heard of or used the Electro-File advertised at Precision Hobby, Inc.: Electro-File? It sounds like it might come in handy, IF it really works. I was thinking of using it on some small cottonwood bark houses, and maybe on some basswood.

Anyone have an idea on this one? I've read a few reviews online, but who knows who wrote the review. I'd feel more comfortable buying it if someone here knew something about it.

Thanks
KJ

I also carve bark and Bass and I would be reluctant to use that tool. Bark is too soft and is easily shaped with carving tools. Same with Bass. “Woodcraft sells sanding stick kits” that are easier to use for fine detail. Unless your used to using the motorized sanding tools you may end up ruining something you worked months perfecting.

I purchased one several years ago to help with Intarsia work. I have not found it to be very useful.

Sanding sticks are more versatile and definitely a lot cheaper. I use my sanding sticks all the time.
