I don't think you would be happy with a rotary tool it does not have a high enough speed .The air turbines are about 400'000 rpm and use a 1/16 bit dental bits work well I have a air driven headpiece purchased at Princess Auto in Canada very reusable priced.I also have a angled dental hand piece that i purchased on line. I carved this Ostrich egg with a air turbine hand piece and dental bits.
Gordo.

a good source for the 1/16 dental bits is at your local dentist office. Just ask them to save you some. They discard them when they are finished with the patient and not use on other patients. Make sure they are sterilized. Dick

Years ago in our village, somebody was carving Emu and Ostrich egg shells in very elegant, filigree patterns. Mostly made up as bedside night-lights. Emu egg shells are dark green on the outside, then there's a blue layer and then white.
In this region, they farm those critters and there's always a % of eggs that never hatch.

gwc: that's exactly what I recall but with a light inside. Nice work.

Hey Magicman,
let us know how you like it in a couple of weeks, or when the 30 day money back guarantee runs out.
If you still like it, I may see about getting one.
Michael
