Are you talking about the three jawed chucks that you can get from Micro Mark? If so they do use a collet......I know because I have these on all of my Dremel tools. |

Dremel now makes an adjustable chuck for their rotary tools. It does not require a collet and does make changing bit sizes much faster and easier. I use that on my flex shaft with my dremel. I'd really like to get one for my battery powered dremel sometime, also. Beth |

OK another Question. I have a WECHEER and I would like to know if the flex shaft would fit with the DREMAL 4000? My wecheer burned out the brushes and Model 320 dont seem to be able to replace. So I might buy a dremal 4000 or 3000 thanks Vin |

Vin: Both Home Depot and Lowes carry Dremel. Easiest way to tell is to carry your WeCheer to the store and see if the shaft fits. Claude |

I totally agree with Susieq, she could not have given you any better advice, that being said when I first started power carving my bird project,I started off with a dremel and now like Susieq I own two dremel tools. Oscar |

THIS IS WRONG.......the three jawed chucks DO REQUIRE A COLLET. I checked all three of the Dremels hanging from my bench that use the Micro Mark, three jawed chucks and they all have collets. |
