I use a Wecheer micro-engraver that I got from Texas Woodcarvers for my detail.

I looked at the new Dremel cordless and it was $99 at Lowes. But the thing is huge! All the newer models Dremels seem to have much larger handpieces than my old one. I believe this new battery model is supposed to last easily an hour of continuous use and has a fast recharge. and plenty of power. But I couldn't see myself holding it like a pencil or anything unless I added the flex shaft. The Stylis model actually felt the most comfortable in the hand and there is another 7.2v model that is smaller than the new one. I also read that Wecheer makes a battery powered model (runs on 2 rechargeable AAs). But would it have enough power and charge to last for 15 minutes? I was interested in something cheap and small that would fit in my carving bag, that could be used for light sanding and detailing. I'm not sure I need one bad enough to spend the money when it could go toward a micromotor!

I have one of the Dremel rechargeable and it will last about 45 minutes on a charge but it is limited to the smaller end of the burs or diamond bits.Tony

Anyone want one without the charger
I have one that I got for the accessories that were with it.
I'll let it go for what I have invested or will trade.
This would be a good backup tool if you already have one
You can be charging 1 while using the other.
