Default "Dory"

Hi Fellow Carvers,
Here's my latest carving, "Dory." You may recall the "little blue fish" in "Finding Nemo." "Dory" was fun to carve and a challenge to mount but it all worked out just fine. Now, "Dory" will enjoy a home with "Darlene" whom my wife "tagged" as "Dory" because of her loveable (but frustrating) forgetfulness.
You can see more of "Dory" in my Blog. (See Sig.)

I had some difficulty with the Matte finish on "Dory." The spary can said if the clear is sprayed on to thich it will turn whiteish..... well, it did! Grrrrr! I was devistated. I deceided to try to correct the unsightly "milky" appearance of the colors. I steel wooled as much of the "milky" areas as possible and then respray "Dory." I headed back to "Michael's" to get a different clear coating. I learned that Krylon had two types of matte clear coatings. The one with the "low-oder" label does not state that it will turn white if the coat is spray too thick. It's also a Latex finish as well... and that corrected the problem. Thankfully!
I changed the photos on my Blog.
