Few years back I had acquired two different sizes of "Arco hollow rasps" that I used in my Foredom. My shop was broken into awhile back and of course they were stolen along with the foredom, dremel, and all sorts of carving tools. I have looked almost everywhere for the Arco hollow rasps and cant find anu one that carries them. If anyone knows where I could purchase this type of high speed rasps please let me know. thank you, ErrolCowboy Matrix |

I'm not sure what you are referring to by "hollow rasps" but if they are what I think, they are sold at most hardware stores but are considered dangerous because they have been known to shatter in use. FWIW Doug |

thanks doug, you might be right about the shattering, but I used them for serveral yrs without any incidence, also Ernest Muehlmat, Roger Schroeder, and serveral well known carvers uses these also. A hollow Rasps means its hollow inside, but will take off alot of wood fast. They come in about 3 sizes in diameter. I will look in some of the older hardware stores as you suggested. thanks again, and good carving to you. Errol |

I used one for a while too with no problem but quit using it after reading about the shattering. Better safe than sorry. Besides, they make a solid one almost exactly the same. Doug |
