Wink cane videos

Hello everyone!

Cut my thumb this morning on a bit of pear that I was carving a wood spirit into. That sure is some hard wood! I think I'll stick strictly to power from now on! On that note, Does anyone know a good dvd on carving a woodspirit on a cane with power? I want it to be about canes because I know there is some different techniques to use with smaller carvings. any and all help would certainly be appreciated!.

I purchased a couple from Smoky Mountain Woodcarvers several years ago, one with David Mallard and one with Allen Goodman. If you can get the one by Allen Goodman, grab it. It was a great video and Allen is very entertaining.

Sorry, meant to add, I don't see them there. Maybe call them? Or email Allen and see if he has any copies left. It was truly entertaining.

Thanks Patty! I'll take a look. Well i am now in the market for a Minimotor. I can spend up to $265. What does everyone think of the "Ram"? Could I carve small canes from dead tree limbs with that?

I'll stay on line, hoping for some quick answers. I am ready!
