I used a torch on some of burrs....and some of those burrs got over heated..perhaps it was my torch... ....needless to say if you heat them to that point some will break easily and go flying through the air when you least expect it. Honestly I am sick of dodging of flying object.... and will stick with other methods of cleaning..... just my experience. Di

THis tool is a "File card" used by machinists to clean flat files forever.

I was using my carbide cutters on pine knots and they gummed up with pine sap, so i soaked them in Acetone for about 1 min. and when i removed them from the jar of acetone i brushed over them with a wire brush, they were as clean as new. Be care full, this stuff is very flammable. You can buy Acetone at your local hardware.

Hey Eddy how you doing,good thing I was n't drinking coffee when I read your post,
I would have burned my legs. I sure am glad you did n't use a blow torch to clean
your burrs you have your whole down,he-he-he.

That's okay Oscar! You have a good laugh! I've got it under control! What is it you old Jar Heads say? "Adapt, Improvise, and Overcome!" Now that I don't have my burrs color coded anymore I use the braile method for identifying grit!
