Great thread...in the toilet or not!

My Dremel is on its last leg, of its 3rd set of brushes. Mine would always die and I could never adjust the RPM's past the first 3 clicks...uuuuuuugh. They take forever on Maple! I actually threw my first one away, much to my father-in-laws chagrin! "Keoma! Noone throws a tool AWAY!!!" When my second one crapped out I took it to him first

no more *** chewin's for me! He showed me how to replace my brushes.

Good as new! Look in the package your Dremel came in...you'll see an extra set!!! For newer carvers...they do not look like "brushes" They are little squares! (((Ahem...I was looking for little, tiny brushes, so I thought I should point this out!)))You can find instructiones on how to replace them on line, if you have lost your book. How to's are in it as well, but if you spilt a whole mug of Kona Roast on yours like I did, well, then you can go online.
I thought I should mention the brushes, because a lot pf people don't know about them. I didn't. So, before you toss it, check those. It saved me a bundle. You can also buy replacement brushes online, directly from Dremel, or on Ebay. It sure beats buying a new toy!(((Thogh not near as fun!)))
I will admit, I am so proud of myself when I can clear my work bench and do the repair on my tool, then get right back to work! Thats Right! WooooHooo! Ladies Rock!!!
Anyway, great thread, back to my coffee...Javajavajavajavajavajavajava...
