You have to be careful burning bits as you can take out the temper...they have pitch remover for saw blades etc that works for bits.

Hi Ho I've been burning them out for 25 years off and on and never had a problem yet. I have also used oven cleaner and it works too but with the propane torch I can grab it and be done in a few minutes.

hi Folks, I Have Three Proxxon Motorized Carvers With Quite A Few Flexcut Blades To Go With Them. Im Having A Hard Time To Hone Them Because They Are Hard To Hold On To..is There An Easy Way To Get The Job Done ? ... Dan...

You can get a handle for flexcut blades so you can also use them for palm tools....would work fine for sharpening or stropping
