This reminds me of the tilt head band saw that I bought from Sears a l-o-n-g time ago.......most of the case was plastic and after tilting the head to cut an angle, it would not go back to 90 degrees and lock.......so one day taped all the plastic, so that it would not fall off and took it to Good Will. That's when I bought my Delta.
And Sears is still selling some junk......in September of this year I purchased a new vise for my work bench. The anvil was not hardened. I needed to bore a hole thru a piece of electrical conduit, so I first punched it with a nail set, and low and behold, I saw that I had dented the anvil.....now, how retarded was it that the factory that made this vise did not harden the anvil.
