BobD....

I personally think that it's a great issue...probably one of the better issues that I've read since I started subscribing to WCI three years ago. The presentation and format are great. The wide variety of articles makes ensures that there is something for everyone.

One of the things that I particularly appreciate about WCI is that all or most of the articles are sequentially page formated instead of putting half of the article in the front of the magazine and the other half way in the back. I find that really annoying. The way you present it makes it very easy to either cut out the article ( last resort) or copy it when placing it in my project folder.

I'm probably going to bring the wrath of the forum down on me but has anyone ever approached the woodcarving supplies and material vendors who advertise in WCI and suggested including coupons and/or monthly sales items. There is a lot of competition out there and a sales gimmick couldn't but help sales. I would imagine that to save on costs your clients run the same ad issue after issue but a promotion could still be placed in your "classified ads" section (page 95).

Great issue. Congrats to Lora Irish on getting Woodcarver of the year, and congrats to Ron on his work in the issue. I really liked the PVC article.

Well the Tortoise sled team here in Eastern WA is slooooow. Shannon, let me know if you need a new distributor in this area. I have no experience, and would have to learn on the fly, but I MUST be a far sight better than the folks who are responsible (?) now!

Finally ......... I get to see what all the talk is about!! It arrived yesterday and I've read it cover to cover already. (Not up to much more than reading at present anyway)

BobD ...... great issue. Nice size to photos and text. Good layout and as usual, great content!

Lora Susan Irish!!! Finally some alocades for this gem of a member! My congratulations ma'm, and my thanks. You have encouraged and supported me and countless others in our quest for enlightment in the world of carving! You have given of your time and skill many, many, times and have always offered cheerful and helpful advice. I hope they give you a medal for your service to the carving community, along with the Carver of the Year title!!!

Congratulations as well to your co-winner, Ed Gallenstein.

Great issue!!! Well worth the wait.

Bob
