| | Re: WCI Fall 2008 (Issue 40) Bob, looks like another really fine issue. As usual, there is something for everyone with a nice balance of the different aspects of woodcarving. For me, Chris Pye's continuing articles are a wealth of information as are Lora Irish's. By the way, congratulations Lora, a very well deserved acknowledgement of your efforts to promote woodcarving. Kudos also to Ron for being brave enough to submit to a critique of his work! Nice job Ron!
One other thing that is not often mentioned Bob is the excellent photos in WCI. As the old saying goes, " a picture is worth a thousand words". The proper positioning of a camera and lighting works hand in hand with good clear text.
Thanks to staff and contributors alike for a job well done.

| | Re: WCI Fall 2008 (Issue 40) Recieved my copy on Firday 8/10 I think it was the first time I had recieved my magazine prior to the thread going up about the newest issue.
As usual I have been throughly enjoying my copy as usual!!
One suggestion I would like to make is since I am a very slow carver it would be nice to have one or two holiday themed projects (ornaments, santas, etc) spread throughout the year. When I recieve my holiday issue I never have the time to get around to finishing any of the projects prior to Christmas.
Is there any way to determine my subscription expriation date from the address label. I have looked at my label, and maybe I am blind, but I can not find it. I don't want my subscription to run out and miss an issue.
Thanks for continuing to publish an outstanding carving magazine that includes a little something for everyone.

| | Re: WCI Fall 2008 (Issue 40) Hey no fair. No wonder I can never win the fox thing. Everybody else gets their magazine DAYS before I get mine. Oh yeah, it also doesn't help that I can NEVER find the darn fox. Can't wait for the new issue. |
