I could not think of a better place to announce my possession and willingness to sell an early piece of John Burke's most excellent wood carving. It belonged to my father, who was gifted it by a dear friend/attorney/art collector, JW Spaulding of WY. It is dated 1942 underneath base, also with John's stylized signature. It is approx 18"X10"X18"tall and portrays two miners, one standing with a shovel in hand, another kneeling over his gold pan. it has become necessary for me to sell this piece and will communicate with anyone who expresses an interest, or will gladly pay 'finders fee' for referrals. Thank you for providing this forum' i hope this is not inappropriate... my email is dawniswishfulthinking@gmail.com
