Thanks Chuck, it is not Shannon or Bob, I know that. The magazines get mailed and it is out of their hands. I am sure we need to pay a lot more postage so the post office can do their job.
Please, I never meant anything bad towards WCI. They do a wonderful job. And I know Shannon would make it right. That is not the point. My point is timing.

i didnt feel that you were blaming either one of them-- but they can do something about it-- magazines do get lost in the mail-- my rural carrier once told me that he really enjoyed on of mine-- and was glad that he could look at it over his lunch break -prior to delivering it to me-- i thought the comment was extremely foollish on his part-- i asked how much of my other mail he read-- and u know-- my magazine was no longer opened when i got it. another time-- i simply wasnt recieving the magazine-- never did get it to go to my house- had to send it to the office-- had no trouble with subscription there- go figure-- im sure WCI will do something for you-- as you said once it leaves the publisher- its out of their hands.

Hello, I realize that I'm still a newbie to carving. But I have been a subscriber for little over a year now. And I can't wait till the next issue arrives. As I always read it cover to cover. However, this issue had a bit of a disappointing "Teaser" on the cover. I had rushed to the article about the "Camp/Trails"ideas only to find no details about carving the little whistle & other such things. Being an ex-scoutmaster and grandfather with kids that are interested in my carvings . I thought that the whistle would be perfect for them to try , but there again no instructions. I guess that I can figure it out with trial and error , but I thought it would be nice to have had at least a paragraph or two explaining the fundamentals on the projects you have pictures of. Just my two cents worth. Thanks again for a great magazine.

Thanks for the feedback, Tookjunke! I appreciate it.

We never intended that article to be a how-to article, but we have gotten requests for several how-to articles based on projects shown in that article...so...we may just have an article on how to carve a slip bark whistle in the future.

Best regards,
Bob Duncan
