Default What a very proud uncle I am!

My nephew's carving was in the holiday issue! He's 13 and started carving over the summer when he was watching me and decided to try it.We sent his santa carving in ,although we knew he wouldn't win , and wow they printed his picture!!!!!We're soooo proud especially me.I just gave him a copy and his eyes lit up like it was already Christmas!!!
Thank you so much WCI you really made a kids day!
His name is Zachery Branch on page 20
That's the coolest thing to have your carving and name in a big magazine, and at such a young age!
Thanks again!
Jonah Branch
He also got a first place ribbon in Hickory,NC a few weeks ago.He was the only one in that category but it still put a smile on his face.

Congratulations! That's a great motivator for a boy his age! I'm sure that is something he will keep a lifetime and will help keep him motivated to carve and motivated to pass it along to others. I think that is great! I too was at the Hickory show, so I know how nice it must be for him to get awarded with so many great carvers. Regardless of the catagory, he still came out a winner!

Great job! I can see you glowing from here!

Blake

Congratulations to you and your nephew. That is a great boost to his morale, I'm sure, and will inspire him to create more great carvings in the future! It is great to see young folks giving carving a go.
