| | Re: Scratch and Dent Sale That may be true Thompand if they had something I wanted, I would have bought. Learn long ago about sales. Just because it is on sale, doesn't mean you need it. Now, The money I saved will be used on something I REALLY WANT. Now that is just me and does not reflect the opinion of management around here.
The little bride hasn't learn that concept yet. If it is on sale, she saves money. But then if she didn't buy it, a bigger savings. Am I cheap? Nah, just being a good steward of my money! |

| | Re: Scratch and Dent Sale Anticipation Thomp anticipation on getting that book.
there was one I was interested in and planned to buy but was told, not to by the little bride, so sounds like someone in the family has bought the book but now waiting on when to get it. Anticipation!!! I hate it!
Kind of like when you were small and Pa was going to spank you for whatever reason ya got in to trouble with MA. but Pa wasn't home yet. Man that was killer time. At least for me it was.
Worried that it was going to hurt real bad and he was going to make a crack in my behind that crossed with the other one Crack and then I would have 4 cheeks. Man Oh Man, was it going to be his hand, a belt, a paddle or the old Osage Orange throny stick?
Those OO stick were limber and when he would hit you, that dang stick would bounce off my behind and hit me two more times before Pa would bring back his hand.
Oh, he was good with that OO stick.
The bad thing was, He would ask me or my brother, which ever was in trouble, to go cut the switch. OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! NO, Not that. That was far worse because if you got one that was limber, two or three hits for every time Pa would come down on your behind and if it wasn't so limber then the force of the down swing of the not so limber switch would knock ya down. Then, ya had to get up and resume the position.
And, he would say something silly like,"this hurts me more than you". Yeah right!
That is why I love winter, No limber OO switches. HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE ![005[1]](http://www.woodcarvingillustrated.com/forum/images/smilies/005[1].gif)

HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE ![005[1]](http://www.woodcarvingillustrated.com/forum/images/smilies/005[1].gif) | i remember that anticipation, being next to oldest i was always put in charge of my younger siblings when we went to grand maws house, of course my older sister worked evenings and got to stay home, so it was the norm as soon as the car stopped i just went to the willow tree and cut the switch and brought it to mom for the upcoming whupping then just waited out on the front porch for the enviable,
the bad part was when i got bad grades on my own, mom got me then pop got me when he got in ...
when we was left at a relatives house and needed discipline, we usually wound up with 3 spank-ins for the acting up... oh well we didnt have no bank robbers or drug attics raised in my family and were no worse for ware.. we all discipline our children the same ant there all ok.. but now your not pc if you spank...bs
