| | Re: Santa Carving Contest Hi Shannon. I can't imagine how hard it must be to put on a contest of this magnitude. It's always easier to armchair quarterback. And then no matter what you do, you always have people like me nitpicking and second guesiing you. You have my gratitude (and condolences) for even trying. I look forward to seeing the final results. |

| | Re: Santa Carving Contest Shannon,
Another job well done!! Would it be possible to post Honorable mentions to the top runner's up for the Peoples Choice since it has been posted that only 25 votes separate the top vote getters. I would be interested in knowing which carvings were the most popular. I'm sure that I'm not the only one. It's just a thought. Again, you do a marvelous job! |

| | Re: Santa Carving Contest I never did see anything on when the voteing would take place. I entered a santa and don't even know if it made the top 28. Just curious if it did. Would be nice if contest owners would tell contestants. |

| | Re: Santa Carving Contest The voting has already concluded. It ended on Oct.14th. The voting site was on the Wood Carving Illustrated web site on the right side. If you go to the site and click on the Santa contest box it will bring up a box for them to send you an e-mail when the winners are announced. |

| | Re: Santa Carving Contest We did send an email announcement to all contest entrants who had provided an email address.
If you want to send me a private message, I can let you know if your entry was in the voting for people's choice. All entries will be posted on the site very soon. (We're working on it... It's a bit cumbersome to get all 190 up there) |

| | Winners Announced - All entries up for Viewing! Hello All,
Click on the Santa Contest logo in the right column - or "carving contests" under community on the left. The winners are announced and all 190 entries are available for viewing.
When you go into "All Santas," note that there are 10 pages of Santa photos. Each page has subsets underneath... For instance on page 2 - you have to click through all 5 image sets to see the 20 Santas that are included on page 2.
Coverage of the contest will be featured in the Holiday issue. (No - not all 190 entries are appearing in the magazine - sorry!) And of course we'd love to hear your suggestions for ways to improve the reader/viewer enjoyment for next year's contest! |
