Shannon, Thanks for the heads up if you had not told us I would have picked one up at the grocery store. I do have one question. The editor's letter said you were going to carve one ornament a year for your wreath are we going to get to see it?

Tim - the new regular holiday issue has lots of great projects in it - we're just finishing it up now... mails to subscribers Nov. 1, available on newsstands Nov. 22. We don't have a volume 3 in the works yet - but you never know what the future holds! Robert - (hanging head in shame) No.... I have not carved an ornament. And I'm even sadder to say that my wreath was destroyed by flood waters. I have scrubbed all the carved ornaments with clorox water and hung them to dry - but I'm afraid some of them will just not be salvageable. I do plan to carve my mom a Santa from a cypress knee this year... I'll let you know how that progresses! I'm going to use Cyndi Joslyn's instructions that were featured in the whittling SIP. |

Thanx for the heads/up. Guess you really can't judge a book by the cover LOL

Shannon, I had not read anything where you folks were hit by the flood so I had assumed it missed you. I'm really sorry to hear you all were hit and pray it was not terrible bad.

The office is fine.... I had 3 feet in the first floor of my house - my entire property was under water - including the storage shed with all my holiday decorations. We're rebuilding... slowly but surely... But some things (like handcarved ornaments you won in Dayton!) are irreplaceable.

I'm sorry to hear of the flooding in your area! Its such a beautiful area up there and I hate the thoughts of floods rolling through there. I hope things for you at your house get back to normal real soon and you are able to recover some of the things that are important to you that got messed up. Blake |
