OK upgrades are done. I didn't get the blog feature installed, I'm going to save that for another time. The forum now has user group features like Bobd had mentioned. I also upgraded the galleries. The uploading new images is one of the bigger features... it's been streamlined. Most of this work was backend stuff...laying the groundwork for future site upgrades. If you guys run into any problems please let me know. --Claudio webmaster@woodcarvingillustrated.com |

We probably won't install the classifieds until we get everything else up and running. Bob |

| Morning Bob I think I found a bug... When I click on view public profile for a forum member, I get the messaging windows superimposed over the public profile info. I attached a screen capture of what I see. Bob L |

Thanks Bob. I like the new photo viewer. I used it on this post: Gift-bearing Santa ...and it worked like a champ. View all the images in one window. Then closed it and went back tot he message viewer. And if you want to save an image, click on in the viewer, and it opened in Internet Explorer. Cool--a lot easier than opening the images in separate windows just to look at them! Bob L |

Bob L, Yes that is a little bit of a display bug. I can't fix it now with our current design, but I'll roll that up as part of our total redesign. The long explanation: The current site uses an elastic design where the main content is set to use 100% of the available space, it re-sizes as the browser window is stretched or re-sized. That Mini Stats bar is set to float on the right side with a fixed width. Because we can't easily tell what the size of the main content window will be at any given time we can't fix its width so the two areas fit in the content area as they should. IE fixed width and elastic widths don't play well together. When we redesign the site we are going to be using a fixed width like on our SSW site, that will help us with display issues like this because we will know how much space we are working with and can fix the width of both areas to fit together. So hold tight...its a work in progress ![]() --Claudio |
