That's a great video. One of the take-home messages I got from it was that I didn't have to make my fancy jig to split a board corner to corner. Just tilt the base and use a fence. I like my jig though. I also like the way Marc is very safety concious when cutting.

I don't know why but my first thoughts with the article was using a piece cut corner to corner. Sure glad I watched the video and learned something. I guess I have gotten in the habit of ignoring the written and looking at pictures to often

My last thought was why go through all that trouble. It takes me about 20 seconds to trace around a head pattern I've been using for years and then another 20 to cut it out. I certainly don't mean this a bragging I just don't see the need for all those extra, technical steps. Just my opinion.
