Rod carved with a group at the Senior Center in Henderson. He is a great animal carver and was sort of the leader of the group. If you call the Senior center in Henderson they should be able to tell you if they still meet there.

I just talked to Rod on the phone and they are still carving at the Henderson Senior Center on Monday mornings and Thursday evenings. He mentioned that there is also another club the meets at a spot about half way between Vegas and Henderson.

Too long a commute for work. just give us a holler when you are in town. It's fun to meet other carvers.

Hey there,
There are several carvers here in Las Vegas. We are meeting tomorrow if you are Interested. We're now planning to start a series of group carvings. The carvings will start our very basic and become more advanced over the coming months. We usually free carve with everyone doing their own thing, but these projects may help some of our newer carvers. You can send me a PM with a numbr or email if you like.

Ivanuch,
What's your questions? We meet every week at one of our members homes but we are trying to get a more permanent location. There are about 12 of us with 6 or so showing up at every meeting.

There is also a group at Sun City MacDonald Ranch that meet twice a week and another group at the Senior Center in Henderson.

My husband is a carver. His email address is
tom_the_carver@msn.com

We are moving to Henderson in 45 days and he is already hoping for some clubs to belong to. We are moving to a condo in south central Henderson. Is there any place he can go to use power equipment, such as a saw, if he needs it?

Please email him and he will answer you.

Thank you all.

Carole
