Default Las Vegas Carving Club

Hey there,
A few months back we listed our carving club on your site. At that time I had found another carver so we decided to form a club. Well a few short months later we have about 14 members. (perhaps more) Ray offered a carving class. He had seven sign up and fourteen turned up.
Just wanted to say thanks for your help. In return we tell all of our members to subscrive to WCI. If anyone is in the Las Vegas area and would rather hang out in a dusty garage than a smokey casino, look us up!

Dan

Good job! I knew there was a group meeting in Boulder (in a senior center I think)...you should make contact with them! Too bad I am an hour and a half away!

There used to be a group called the "Silver Dollar Cavers" in this area. This may be the group you are thinking of. I tried to contact them at one time but the numbers I had were disconnected. If anyone knows how to contact them I'd appreciate it.

I only saw an ad once, but pretty sure they were meeting at the Senior Center in Boulder City...a call there would most likely fill you in on where they are or if they are still active.

Elwood: Take advantage of the situation and convert adversity into opportunity. Bowling pins are made of good hard maple - all you need to do is scrape off that white plastic covering and you have some beautiful wood.

You could also use your Fordom on one of the black house balls...that hard rubber should carve quite nicely with a decent typhoon burr.

The guy you want to talk to is from Henderson, NV. Rod Dickinson, his telephone number was 565-9163. I have not talked to rod for some time but know he is still in the area though his phone number might have changed.
Tell him Dick B. from Mesa, AZ says hi.

Don't know Rod. We have been having our carving club here at Sun SCity Anthem for over a year now. What group is Rod in?

Ray Johnson
