The Woodcraft Shop sells the belts. The only problem, the sharpener that Gene is using comes from Chipping Away and runs in a reverse rotation from the normal sander. Lots of people have bought the little belt sander from Harbor Freight (pretty inexpensive), and mounted it upside down.

The WoodCraft Shop - Online Store

In fact, here they are
- SURGI SHARP LEATHER BELT 1" X 42" #567102

- SURGI SHARP LEATHER BELT 1" X 30" #567103

Thank's WCI and Gene for being so thoughtful to teach us new things to learn .. I sure needed this.. Right away after starting the first video , I learned something I needed to know as to why the top of the wood is so hard to cut..What a wonderful addition to WCI.. God Bless all of you.. old slow to learn.. Charlotte

Gen, your tutorials are simply great! Just a piece of advice, try to better show your steps to camera. I, aboslutely beginner, need to look at the details. Thank you.

Hi Gene! I enjoyed very much your videos, they simple and very helpful for new carvers likes myself. I see that most of your figures have the arms/hands rested near the body. Do you have some videos with arms detached from the body. I think these figures are more difficult to carve, aren't they?
Thanks for your reply. Dino a.k.a. Rezbar

I just downloaded a couple more videos from YouTube and was wondering if the templates for the projects are available somewhere to download.

I have one that I downloaded from the forum I think, but I would like to have them for all the projects.

I want to carve them all, one at a time, and would prefer to work from a drawing. It would be nice to have all the templates available at the same place.

Btw, the videos are could...

I think Gene otta stand up and take a bow..for all the videos he has made..they are wonderful..I have been carving for 20yrs+ now and still can learn lots from Good ol' Gene..he is very basic and keeps the carvings simple...also I want to include Arleen also..these people should be commended for the time and thoughtfulness it takes to put into these masterpieces..I am self-taught and always carried a knife..thats the way I started reading everything out of a book and putting it to use...Thank you again Gene and Arleen and anyone else making carving videos..you can never learn to much..there is always new horizons to be covered..bill#1
