Default Forum Photo Problems

I wonder if someone could tell me why I can't open the thumbnail pictures most of the time. Only rarely does the new system work for me. I keep getting the message, "I don't have permission to do that" or something to that effect. It tells me to refresh the page and try again.... nope..don't work. I will be very surprised if this post actually gets posted. I sent a note to Admin as instructed but no reply. Any ideas from anyone?

Please give us some more info, Ed: what computer brand, what operating system, what web browser, dial-up or high-speed internet, etc.?

Claude

Claude: I'm using an IBM clone, Pentium 3, with Intel CPU..... AT&T Yahoo Browser, Windows 2000 and DSL. I did upgrade the Java app to the latest available. Most of the time the site will not allow me to click on a thumbnail and enlarge it. I would say about 75% of the time. When it's treating me this way, it also says I don't have permission to post anything. BobD says he found nothing wrong with the account back on the 23rd. Any suggestions or help appreciated. I just tried to post this for the fourth time and it said I didn't have permission. This is the fifth attempt. This started when changes were made to the forum.

dunno if it applies....after the web site was upgraded, I had to make sure I was logged in and that it was saving my password, before it would let me see any pictures. Make sure you are logged in. On a newer PC, you might need to allow pop-ups to run for this website....may notice something at the top of the page asking if it is ok. I think the way the pictures display now may require that you turn off the pop-up blocker?

Mike: When this happens, it keeps telling me to refresh the page and log in again.... gets tiresome trying over and over again. I just went into tools and enabled pop-ups for this site so we'll see if that is the magic dust required.

Sorry Ed - all the tech guys are out today... And I'm inept when it comes to these things... Hopefully the members can help you out - if not, send Bob a private message and he'll get you squared away on Monday.

So sorry!

As a side note - we had a similar glitch on the sister SSWC site - it had something to do with the user group - and Claudio was able to fix it right away - but he's out of state!

I've gotten that message in the past. I think it is because you are not logged in. Try logging in and checking the remember me box and then you should stay logged in everytime you visit.

Hope this helps.
