Default Flat Plane Section?

After having read the LONG discussion over the Santa Carving Contest, I feel there just might be a bit of misunderstanding about flat-plane carving. I'd like to see a new section devoted to flat-plane carving where we can discuss the subject, show off our projects and perhaps lay to rest a few misconceptions. Especially given Gene's U-Tube tutorials, which seem to be quite popular here, I think there would be enough interest to keep it going.

What do you think?

Bob

My principal problem with FP carving is that I keep rounding off the corners a little too much to "make it better"...

Mack .. Talk about change with this election year ... a flat plane section ?

Wow .. that would be great .. but I believe Bob D is so snowed in now .. that would have to be something just to consider for much later date ..

Maybe we could have a section for Flat Plane Carvers Who Have Trouble Rounding Off the Corners

I think that would help alot ..

Great idea to me .. but might be hard to sell for a lone forum ..

Anyway .. Thanks for the pun and you gave me a needed smile for the day just thinking about it ..

God Bless Mack

Gene

Or even better, a section for Flat Plane Carvers Who Have Trouble Leaving the Corners!

Ok...this brings up a new dilemma: If I wish to post a photo of a Santa Caricature, carved in the flat plane style, do I post it in the Holiday forum, the Caricature forum, or the Flat Plane forum?

All three! Or you can choose! It's totally up to you!
