Are there enough chainsaw carvers on here to merit a separate forum for Chainsaw Carvers? I'd like to see one. Butch

Butch I mover your thread here as I thought it was better directed here than on under power carving directly. I think it is an excellect suggestion. Ash |

I think it's a good idea too, even though I haven't done my first chainsaw carving yet. It's close. I finally got a chainsaw! Thor |

I agree, besides the chainsaw each pc requires various hand tools, grinders, foredom and other wood working tools not to mention the stain, sealer, varnish..... You get the idea, not the same as hand carving but very close. Greg |

Yep! Makes sense to me too. I am nowhere close yet to trying it, but I am dying to. Someday when I've gotten a little more solid with my hand carving skills . . . and can afford to get a decent chainsaw. In the meantime I'll be reading along with great interest. ChuckT |

I started playing with making morel mushrooms last week and made this one last night. It's Douglas Fir and must weigh well over 100# http://www.woodhacker.com/morel-2.html Hey Admin! Can we have a chainsaw forum?
