I well understand your comments and have been there myself as a beginner. But as you and we have commented if you enter the Crtitics Corner you must be prepared for and accept the feed back and the feed back should be a tactful and respectful feedback. There are always a few though that don't appreciate the art of being tactful and their comments would show them to be what they are, as in other threads. Entering the Crititics Corner may not be for the thin skinned.

oh yea i got that,that's why when i post pics and say what do you think i do want to know good or bad,i'm at the stage in the carving game where critique is something i see as helping,because it's a different opinion a different view and it just adds to my growing mental file of what i need to be careful in doing the next go around. just like my recent post of my amish farmer which to be honest i was pretty pleased with,nothing outstanding,but it started out just as a fun carving to kill time,so i was pleased. i posted it and asked,a couple of things were pointed out. one of which was lynn's comment about the crown of the hat should have been smaller,i don't have the experience lynn has especially with hats!!! i was pleased enough with him,but now because of this i'll file it away for next time,and make it hopefully a little better.part of it too maybe wondering as i do,where is that transition,beginner to intermediate to experienced to whatever to whatever.
i still think of myself as a beginner alot of time because i haven't been doing it that long,but i'm always trying to learn,sign me up for an iron suit i need the help!!
