I just wanted to say that i think the sale would be better if the books weren't grouped together. If your a new carver that's fine, but if you've been carving a while like most of us on the board you probably have one book from each group. You may want one of the other books but your not gonna buy the group if you already have one. Anyway you know what i mean. thanks for listening. Feb

Feb, I agree with you. I probably would have bought some if they were not in groups just becuase I already had some of them. Chipper67

And I thought I was the only one who thought that way! Would have worked better for me if there had been a fair discount and free shipping.

I would like to comment on this also. While the WCI or Fox, Whoever, needs to be commended in offer good deals and I do believe there was some good deals, I found that I would not buy a set of three or four books to get one that I may have been interested in. Lot of the deals I had several of the books or had them and trade them off as I did not use them so, No, I have not bought any but bet there are a lot who have. Again, I thnak the WCI staff for the deals, But,,,,,

I agree! I really wanted to buy several of the books. But I always had at least one of the set. Then it is not such a good deal. Thank you WCI for the thought even if it didn't work for me. |

I will have to echo everyone's thoughts expressed here. Saw a few that I would have considered pulling the trigger on but I always had one of the set already. Plus - I already splurged on the Thank You Forum members sale and couldn't justify spending more on myself. There were some very nice deals on the packages though - so I hope Fox Chappel saw the sales response they hoped for even though it didn't do it for me. Cheers ChuckT |

im sure that this sale is a method to clean up some stock thats not moving-- and thats ok--they have cut the cost to the point that they are probably making no money- just getting expenses out of the sale. i bought two groups -- tho one had a magazine in it that i already had-- such is life.

Me too. I am a set type person. Just ask my wife. But the sets duplicated a lot of thing I have already. Then what do you do with an extra copy of a book or magazine? I would have been more apt to buy had they been individually priced. Also if you want certian books you might have to buy 3 sets to get them. Aha. There's the answer.
