Thanks Dave and Mark that video wasn't really aimed at being educational but to answer some questions I have been asked about how I keep my knives sharp.

Hey Carl,
Can you post a photo of the completed spoon? That way people have an idea what the spoon will look like before clicking on the off-site link?

Thanks!

Bob

I will when the spoon is done , I am going to finish the spoon with the videos I have yet to film, so the videos will follow the same exact spoon through them. It is in the freezer now and I have been to busy to get back to the videos but soon I will hopefully.

Even a shot in process now would be good, just to give people an idea what they will be looking at. A screen shot from the video would work as well.

Talking Re: Video spoon tutorial

For Bobd and the members who have the sucky internet, here are a few shots of the progress so far. I have next to the spoon the shadow blank of it, when sawed the blank I think I made three of that specific shape. So here's the spoon and the blank shape it started as. I did a little carving on that extra blank to test sharpness of my hook knives as I was sharpening them.

Smile Re: Video spoon tutorial

Got the Pinewood Forge knives which I found out about from your videos. Since receiving knives have caved two acceptable spoons (passed efforts didn't make the cut) - one cooking size and one eating size. THANKS!!!!! More videos - PLEASE.
