Default Two Bar Twist My Way

Bob K ask me how to do my two bar twists so i did this little one to show you.

Tools used wear...Pencil, detail blade on my pocket knife and 1600 grit paper.

Round the wood off and mark out two starting points opposite each other then draw the spiral on keeping the spacing.

Cut either side of the pencil line.

When you carve deeper be carefull as it will start to become abit unstable.

At this stage i start to undercut and take out the wood from the centre. Again take care not to break it.

Nice Job, very intricate. I would probably cut off my finger if I tried anything that little. I like the Beeswax finish.

Ahhhhh, and Richard does it again. Well done Sir Richard. The finish really does make it look very nice. I will have to try beeswax soon.

What type of wood did you use. That looks like something I might actually try. (-;
