Default Study Stick - The Nose

I have started a new tutorial on my blog entitled "The Study Stick". It will take you through the process of carving a caricature face in a step-by-step manner. Part one, that is now available, walks you through the steps of carving a nose. The tutorial is intended mainly for beginning carvers, but vetran carvers may benefit from a new angle on things as well. I also keep the tools simple, using only a knife and one small gouge.

I hope you will stop by The Old Stump Blog and check it out. Let me know if you have any questions along the way. I'm here to help.

Thanks guys. I hope someone will benefit from this tutorial. It was a lot of work to put it together, but if someone is able to build some confidence and improve their carving skills, it will have all been worth while.
