Default Small flat plane eyes?

I have been doing (carving) birds and waterfowl for a while and now am trying to do some flat plane characters. I do these pretty small and the eyes are tiny. I have found a number of videos and books that cover this but the eyes in the pictures are so small that I can't see exactly what is happening.
What I am looking for is something similar to Gene's you-tube projects (eyes made with a minimal number of knife cuts.) I like the "whittled" look on small projects.
Can anybody tell me where to find a tutorial on these simple eyes that has pictures large enough to define the cuts? Detailed eye tutorials are plentiful and plenty large...I just can't find large pictures of how to cut very small eyes.
Thanks very much for any help.
Van
