Hi All I have found a program that is a free download Named REPLAY MEDIA CATCHER 4 You can download any Youtube Video as an FLV File and Convert it to any other file format you like. The program will download any vidio on the internet but you have to buy it to do that, its only lets you download Youtube free. This is all legit nothing underhanded. When you download FLV files although the program will convert them to DVD you really want to use just the FLV because the file is smaller you can get more videos on your DVD Data disk. For example if Genes Video has 8 parts you can click on each part one right after the other and the program will run until it gets them all. You set the program to put your downloaded files in one file and your converted files in another file. This may not be explained very well, but if you have question I'll be glad to answer them. There is another program that will download FLV file to you computer. It is Real Player. There is a free portion. The free portion allows you download file from YouTube to you computer. If you wish these video can then be burned to a CD disc. This program can also download flv files from other sites. If you want to burn the FLV file to DVD's there is a fee. You can also create playlists within Real Player whereby you can string the downloads so that they play one after the other. There is a free software which will convert the FLV files to other formats. I thought I would pass this along. |

I apologize for the misspelling of "your". For some reason when I type to word your I forget the "r". I hope you can figure out where the word you should be your.

Hi Bob This program is free also if all you want to do is download You tube. It also will let you convert to any format such as your cell phone or any other device that you might want to play it on. As far as burning you can burn to a cdr or dvd simply by making a data disk from your regular burning program. It will download one of Genes Videos which or approximately 10 or 11 minutes in about 2 or 3 minutes. What I did was create a file put folders in it and named them Genes Video names, then when I had all the videos for one project downloaded I would copy them into the folder for that project. Just keep downloading and saving them that way until you have enough to fill a cdr or dvd data disk. You can build as big a library of Genes video that way as you want. Larry Ps Don't worry about misspelling we all do it. |

Hi Larry, One of the reasons I wrote was to let you know that there are other programs that will allow downloding off of YouTube with free software. Real Player does have software to burn videos to DVD so that they can be played in a series. However, there is a cost for this version. Other videos can be downloaded using RealPlayer, such as those on the OutWest site. Also videos on the CarvinOnLine site can be downloaded. The Out West videos can be viewed using Apples Quick Time Software, which is free. The OutWest videos are not in the FLV format. These videos can be place on a DVD as data file, the same way as you discribed above. |

Take a look at KeepTube.com (free to use). This will capture any You Tube video and allow you to save it in various formats and definitions. I use MP3 since it has better definition, will play on an iPad and also in Windows Media Player. It has an add in for FireFox that puts a link on the You Tube page for download. As stated above I have a lot of Gene's and Lynn's for reference. I view them on my iPad in the shop. Very helpful.
