Today I'm painting the awful linen closet in my downstairs bathroom.
Computer whiz ?? I haven't the faintest idea how to save this. |

you should do a book or dvd on your work.... Mrs. Nancy
im sure it would make a great one...
if youre house is like this household im sure you got a couple in-dependant dependants around that could help photograph and type up the pleminary work for ya as you carve... could become a after sunday dinner thing...
Thanks again for shairing

| | Re: Painting .... Hey Nancy,
I painted a snowman yesterday using the graph paper technique, and for my first time, it came out pretty good!
I definitely need more practice and patience, although there's not much I can do about my shakey hands! But like you said, once the designs were carboned on, it was like using a coloring book. Since I always just paint free-style, this was both challenging and fun. It was a challenge trying to keep the paint in its intended squares, but fun for the same reason!
I still need to varnish and want to give it a slight antiquing. Maybe I can post to the gallery so you can see what a monster you created! Usually very conservative with my paintings, I've been really hankerin' to break out of the box lately. Well, when you see all the colors and patterns on this snowman's sweater and scarf, you'll see what I mean! I couldn't stop myself - someone...or some-thing took over!!
I hope to post him soon!
Thanks again! Jillsy |

I agree whit HI HO, that would be a niffty idea, paint your closet like your Santas/ Well at least you could use it for a pattern on your next Santa, eh?
