Default The non-video 5-minute wizard

Howdy folks,

Has anyone come across a PDF or simple image set of the 5-minute wizard? I want to have it as reference, but hate having to load it on YouTube and keep pausing and rewinding on my iPod.

And yes, I did search for it on the forum first. But try it... there's "a few" posts about the 5-minute wizards

Thanks!!

Howie...
Two suggestions... Contact WCI and see if you can purchase the Summer 2008 issue #43. It's on pages 78-80.

or you can send a PM to Tom H and see what he can do for you.

I just thought of another idea. You could play the video on You Tube and just pause it at critical points. Then use your "Snagit" or "Snipit" software to capture a screenshot and build your own picture tutorial on how to carve it.

Back in the days before videos took off this is the way Gene stated how presented his tutorials in photobgraph form.

The whittling with Will one is a bit tricky to see still – but his 3-minute owl pattern is awesome!

I'd be interested in something I could print off and take with me too. I do have the mag but it's in a shipping crate in Customs on t'other side of the world right now :P I do a lot of my carving in the woods near home so something I can just fold up with the tools in my knapsack would be perfect.

That's a great article! It really got me excited about carving caricatures.

Update: Foxchapel just published a 'Whittlers' magazine that has all the beginner's projects, including the 5-minute wizard. I picked up a copy – definitely worth it, even as a reference!

Hi Howie!! I was just wondering if you have the direct link to purchased this magazine? I searched on their website but couldn't find it.

Thank You,
Patty
