Default Mtn. Man Mask(Thread #4)

Pic#1 i am using a #7/8mm gouge upside down and taking the edge off the bottom of the eye brows and rounding right up into the inside corner of the bridge of the nose, creating a good hard stop cut. Pic. #2 using the same gouge remove the small chip. In pic.#3 using a detail knife stop cut under the hat ,just to the hair line on each side for now, take this cut about a 8th inch deep. Pic#4 is the removal cut using a #7/10mm gouge . On to PIC#5 the right side has been cut in,still have to do the removal cut. I am now taking the same gouge #7/20mm and cutting at a slight outward angle (away from the face) under the cheekbone and creating a hollow area which helps to give this area some more shape and keeps it from looking to chunky.

Mark, is there a certain place where you try to line up the cut under the cheekbone? I think this is an important cut, but this is an area where I'm afraid that I am going to take off too much wood and mess up the face. Suggestions?

Blake

Blake, stay just under the bottom of the nose, you can always move this line up to acheive the desired effect if you want.
