 Mtn. Man Mask(Theard#6) Pic.#1 here I am cutting around the decoretive gorget with a #9/13mm gouge to relieve this from the hat some.Pic.#2 using a #5/16mm cleaning up around this area and bringing this excess wood down closer to the hat. Pic.#3 i have turned the carving to the side to stop cut slightly undercut under the hat to the face line. Pic#4 shows this after I made the removal cut. Pic. #5 shows how thick you want the hat to be at this point , if you look closely you can see the "T" I penciled in to make this area more visible.
