Michelle, I believe every video, to include painting, is on the disk. If you find one that is missing, please let me know. I would like to add them. Some are separate folders, and some are in the carving folder for that subject.

On a different question, would it make it easier for any of you folks if I put these up on my FTP Server? Downloading from a FTP Server is much faster than the normal download. And it won't time out on you, unless your ISP does that.

BobT, that would be fantastic, as you might have noticed in this thread, I'm still struggling with this thing. The big guns (a 'puter geek) are gonna have a go at it tomorrow, but yours is the absolute solution to all my troubles. I'm trying to get his santa tutorials in time to add some to my Xmas gift list, ain't no way I'd get them from you soon enough the way the mail works between you and me.

Well, Bob...you're right! Red Face So sorry about that. That will teach me to look more closely before I open my big yap. I'm happy to learn that the painting is on the disc, now I don't have to download anything.

Thanks again!

No problem Michelle, if there is something missing then I want to fix, simple as that.

I thought I had offered that service earlier. OK, whatever. I will set up an account for this in the morning and post the newest video. I will watch the log and see how it goes. If it gets used then I can put more up there. The FTP box runs 24/7/365 for my customers so unless you are planning to use your phone in the middle of the night, you can let it rip while you are sleeping. It won't be slow on my end, it is plugged into a T1 line.
I will be back in the morning with access info. The IP will be 72.16.132.210

Almost forgot. Please tell me which files you want, FLV or WMV. The FLV files are half the size of the WMV's and play real well with VLC Player. VLC Player is free, just look it up in Google. It plays anything, even DVD's. It is a real nice tool. I just downloaded VLC, I will put it up there too.

Bob, for me the FLV would be better if it's faster, I have both so it's really not a problem, I really want the most recent christmas ones he has, I think there's a big santa or whatever.

Yes Cliff, it is called a Big Headed Santa. Real nice carving, in the finest Gene Messer tradition.
FLV it is, given your slow speed I think that is best. I already put them on a disk and as I said, will put them on FTP in the morning. I will post here when it is done. Unfortunately I never saw the wisdom in being able to set up a new account remotely or I would do it right now.

Yes, I convert my photos from what I get from the camera to the 1024 size which brings the file down to approximatly 40k. Here is a screen capture of the results. The large files were resized from the 2-3M size down to one that is easy to upload and to view online. The resized file name includes the "size" that I resized it to.

Burning to a CD is easy; plus you can get a great number of 40k files on a 600M CD!

PM me with your email address and I'll send the .exe file. Otherwise go to Komando.com, Website for The Kim Komando Radio Show® and do a search for "photo resizer". The Digital Goddess has at least three free photo resizers on her site. Listen to her on Saturdays in the morning; sometimes you can learn a lot. No, I don't work for her; I just listen to her.
