Patrick that is a great tutorial very well put together. I am going to save it and give it a try when I get back from the open house. Maybe one day I will get down east and you can give me a hands on lesson.

Hi Ho - the wood is white pine. I posted the full finished wood spirit a week or two ago. The wood was very green when I carved it so sap was everywhere as you can see in the early pics in the tutorial.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments. As I'm not an instructor, I need to learn how to describe the process better.
