Thank's Mark , Kathy , Bill,Dan for the ecouragement ... I know some of these tutorials are very simple to the more experienced carver .. But if were ever to get beginners confidence started in this craft .. then the simplier the better at first ... This is a simple fun project anyone can do and you can vary the face anyway you want it .. Dan .. Thanks for the tip on leaving the ball logo on .. never thought of that .. but that's what I like . others ideas on the subject .. Also anyone join in on an easier or their way of removeing the outer shell of the ball .. All ideas are welcome .. Remember ! .. Iam only one person .. I know others have even better ideas to suggest .. I need to learn alot myself .. Thanks agian Gene

Hey Gene Great tutorial, I like to carve balls, maybe it's because they don't listen when I talk to them. I have a couple of on my gallery here. Here's the link to the golf ball I did. Maybe we should start a carvers challenge, to see what people would carve, that would be fun. http://www.woodcarvingillustrated.co...39/limit/views Mel |

Great job Gene! Really nice! I always wondered how people got the covers off of those things. I'm a firm believer that you could make a great carving out of just about anything. Now move on up here to Tennessee so we can carve a little together!! Blake |

Help! I give up! I've been trying to find where I can post a question and introduce myself and this is the only place I've found that allows me to enter a message. What am I missing? Can someone point me to the right page or process? New member, Pauldeuce Thanks |
