Thanks so much for the photos you will never know how much thay will help.I've all ready got the pattern draw out and ready to start carving.I've tryed and tryed to get a handle on your style with very little luck but seeing the photos i can see where to make the cuts now.I know you have been very busy at work and what extra time you had you used to do this project so i thank you once agan for the great effort !!!

As far as the way the face is done ... It can be used for any size character ..
Large or small ..
I did this guy with a frowning face .. but just turn the mouth cut upside down for a smiling face ... or add a mustache or beard or teeth ... It can be done any way ...
But i forgot one thing .. the pattern I used .. so here it is ... can be copied to any size ..
Thanks so much to all of you .... Unfortunately .. not all of us are artist like some of the wonderful carvers on this forum ... So if we can make things as simple as possible to turn out a decent figure .. let's help one another ..

helping all of us understand more better the sequence of steps in carving this little dude in the flat plane style.
Its tough to photograph and write one of these tutorials, I commend your efforts. good job!
maybe more folks will follow your lead. and share their knowledge on a project tutorial.
Its not often we get shared information free,
Carving is a ever evolving craft.
meaning the more you do the better you get, Practice makes perfect.
even a beginner could follow this tutorial, to carve. and it don't matter if the first ones perfect, lessons of tool performance are paramount for beginners and new tool owners alike.
