That looks like a neat little project. You certainly have been busy the past few weeks with the videos - I can't keep up! My to do list keeps getting longer.

Thanks for the great videos and keeping me busy

Eric

Gene , you had my toes curling when you were cutting the 1/2" strip in half with your fingers so close to the bandsaw balde. You're a brave man!

Nice one.

It should go well with my small whittling knife...

Gene, Here is my version of your hat pin. I used some old #11 Exacto blades. I blunted the edges and tip on a diamond stone. Could just imagine me cutting myself putting on and off my hat. I used a 1/2" brad, inserted in a drilled hole and super glued in. The clasp is claimed from one of dozens of old hat pins lying about.

Great fun to do. Made these in an hour. Got me to thinking about hat pin gouges etc. Maybe a wood spirit.
Thanks for another great video. Keep up the nice work.

Dennis,
Wyandotte, MI.

Hi Gene,

Just to let you know, I watch your videos all the time. Now that I'm not doing a lot of carving, I enjoy watching other slice through that wood. I can just imagine the feel, hearing the sound of your knife making those cuts. Thank you and for your kind words, too.
