Talking want another new hobby

ok, i have some woodcarving chisels and a block of wood, any ideas? i'm thinking about a cross with a rock in front of it. what'll ya'll think?

Hey Walt,
Totally agree with bigEd. Carving and creating something out of wood is something I just love to do. Got bit bad and that's good.
Enjoy using your hands to unleash what your mind tells you.

I am new to the forum also. I agree with the others, carving is like eating peanuts. Once you start it is hard to stop with just one.

I am with all you guys, you can be bite by the carving bug
Ive been carving a year now and I can't stop
I got lots of tools to buy & lots of wood.
Its kinda like fishing, I can't stop that either

Carving can be addictive, but safety is key. I have a scar halfway down a finger from trying to carve as a kid with a dull chisel, pushing toward myself.
