hello fellow wood carvers i am new at this and want to learn on how to be a good carver and nead all the tips i can get

Hello Tamworth, welcome to the WCI Board you will find a wealth of information on here, if it isn't posted just ask someone should know the answer and if no one does I guess we are all in trouble. The only stupid questions are the ones never asked, so don't forget to ask if ya can't find it.
Some tips for you practice, practice, read, practice, sharpen, practice, maybe a trip to the ER Wink, some more practice, reading, and then some more sharpening. Make sure you know the path of your knife or gouge in case the wood ever gives way keep any flesh out of the path.

For some reason Lora Irish e-mail changes to wood carving illustrated how to magazine for wood carvers so I will put it in without the www. and let you put it in front yourself her email is carvingworld.com according to her book
